Elder Blotter - October 18

Hola Famila,
How are you all feeling?? I hope not too bad. I have had a week that feels like it went so fast!! Today is my last p day of the transfer if you didn´t know. We know the transfers for our zone because President came to Puerto Montt for the Musical so we all talked to him and he told us so I AM STAYING!! My companion Elder Jaita is leaving for Chilóe and I am receiving a new companion named Elder Ciquiero. I know him from Valdiva.   He was in a ward that shared the same building as Los Encinos so It´ll be really sweet to see him again and to have an opportunity to serve with him. A lot of people are getting changed out from Punta Arenas and three guys from my zone are heading down there. It has been a really fun cambio and looking forward to the next one. Because at the end of the next cambio I will have one more cambio till I hit a year, holy freaking cow!! My last week of the cambio was great we had a lot of intercambios and I went to a town called Calbuco with Elder Hezeltine from my group. It was so cool to talk to him and work with him in his sector. He is one of the guys leaving for Punta but I am sure l will see him before the end and if I don´t I will see him at the end ha-ha!!   We had our investigator with a date for baptism come to church which was amazing to have, I was so excited to see her and she was so happy to be at church. The musical was a big hit so many people came and the spirit was sooo strong!! A lot of people video taped so I´m sure it is somewhere on YouTube or on the mission site. Today for p day we went to Volcan Osorno which was way freaking awesome I had a blast one of the best p day I have yet had ha-ha!! But I don´t have a lot of time to write cause we got back late so please tell dad I am sorry but I will write him the following week I promise I love you mom and dad and family!! Thank you for everything you do for me and your prayers. I pray for you all every day and night!!!

Elder Blotter - October 11

Hola Famila!!
Hope all is well with your work and fun adventures you had this past week from helping clean out Sister Koserik´s basement from Hearing Elder Gong speak. He was a great speaker. I really enjoyed his talk in Conference and am jealous that you got to see him speak in person. But I am sure I will get something like that here in the mission. I have had Elder Scott come so I guess thats one ha-ha Our Sunday was great and in the beginning was a little under attendance because of the hour jump forward we had here in Chile so some people walked in late.  But what was a surprise was that one of our investigators, Lindana surprised us at church by being there way early! Then part way through the 1st hour her husband showed up alone!! He´s never been to our church and he just decided to come it was an amazing fast sunday! They then both stayed for the 3 hours of church and the members were fantastic with them! They showed them the church all the different rooms for primary and relief society it was incredible! I felt as though the members were doing more than us as missionaries which is great and is what we want them to do with every investigator that we bring. I felt as though our Heavenly Father answered our fasting to him with great blessings. We plan on passing by there home tomorrow to challenge them both for baptism! My past week has been a good one and a difficult one. It went by really fast with having intercambios with my zone leaders and my district leader. I was in my sector both of those times. I know my sector very well and also my investigators. We have transfers in a Week so pray I will stay here ha-ha!! I love the members here they are so kind and VERY powerful with the gospel. Alma 38:5 this is a great scripture for members and non members to share with. Put your name where it says Shiblón.
I love you and miss you tons!! Thanks for everything!!

Elder Blotter - October 4

Hola Familia,

Hey how is your week going? How is the sickness?? Hopefully better. I am doing very well. I loved Conference. I learned sooo much!! There were too many Talks that I loved. The Saturday Morning session, I cannot remember what her name is but she is from the Primary I believe. She talked about how we need to put our hands over our children’s hands upon the iron rod and how we need to be examples to our children. That talk just reminded me so much of when I was little, you and dad were always the big examples in my life and always showed me the love you have for the gospel that we have that you showed me. I love you both for this that you have put into my life and hope to do the same for my future children as Amy is doing at this moment. The other talk I loved was from yesterday I believe by Elder Kearon I think of the Seventy from England. He spoke of the story of listening to your parents and the promptings of the spirit and with the scorpion that stung him because he wore flip flops and not shoes. The lesson he learned I remember learning in my high school years and the years to come. I am sure that if our parents tell us that they don’t want us going to a party or a movie and that they tell us they just don’t feel right about it we should listen because that is the spirit speaking to our parents that the spirit is not dwelling there. I remember so many times where I was not listening when I should have and I paid the consequences for my lack of listening. I now know and know what I need to do for my children as you have done for me. There are so many other talks that l will share with you another day or next p day when I have my book with me. I am doing well here in my sector the weather is still just so so with rain and cold and not much sun but its ok. We are headed off to do an activity today to the Volcan Calbuco and I will take pictures there because I did not take any again this past week because there just was not a good opportunity. We had 3 investigators come to Conference and they all LOVED it!!! We are trying to prepare two of them for baptism and make them feel ready for everything. My companions name is Elder Jaita from Bolivia Centro near the temple there in Bolivia. We are doing well and my health is well. I love you all and miss you all very much. Thank you for all of your prayers for me on my mission I hope to make you and especially the Lord very proud of me here in Chile.
