Elder Blotter - Oct 24

He was having a tough p-day this past week being sick.  Sounded like a rough day!

Dear Family,
All is well here except....I HAVE DIAHREA!! I want to die right now ha-ha I woke up at like 3 this morning and I have been going to the bathroom QUANK!!! I have gone to the bathroom like 10 times already. I have never had diarrhea this bad before in my mission or in my life its so bad just bad. I hope I never have to go through this again. I have eaten like nothing and I feel sick and just horrible. But yeah enough about me glad to hear all is well with everyone back home and that everyone is happy. Church yesterday was good I gave a talk yesterday and it was good and then the bishop gave a talk right after me and it was super awesome. Very good sacrament meeting. We had two of our investigators in church Luis and Tamara. Luis is this 20 year old who were a reference from a family that me and Elder Patton knew from the Libertad Ward that moved over here and he is super awesome! He understands the gospel so easily and he´s got date for the 5 of November just right after that Elder Patton goes home so its kind of a bummer that he won´t be able to be there for the baptism but Elder Patton taught him everything with me so it’s totally his and my baptism but more than anything it’s the Lords ha-ha but all is good. Tamara is good still progressing but still haven´t gotten married yet but hopefully they will soon cause I guess back in the day to get married was expensive but its not the hard thing now.  It's getting them divorced from other people because in the States its easy but here its like a two year thing to finalize the papers and pretty expensive so instead of divorce here people just separate. That’s why I think people are scared to get married here because they don´t want to go through that kind of process that they could just separate and not have to worry about divorcing from anybody. To answer moms question yes I did get my package and it was super awesome I am actually wearing my tie right now its super sweet and I wore my sweater yesterday to church cause it was pretty cold in the morning. Yeah so y'all know I just bought another memory card today for my camera and I am just going to put away my other card to save to see if I can fix it after the mission or if I should worry about that cause I already put the pictures on a Cd so I don´t know what you want me to do just erase the pictures or keep them cause I already have them on a CD so get back to me on that next week. Glad to hear Batavia just smacked it good this year in Football maybe they´ll come out as state champions this year. And maybe the Cross team will go to state this year. The Chris Spadfora ran pretty well but I don´t this he has beaten my best time I think my best time if I remember right was a 15; 20 But yea that’s totally awesome that all is well back home and all is well here in Chile but I love y'all and miss you all very much!!!

Elder Blotter - Oct 18

Dear Family,
I am well this week excepting......I GOT ANOTHER VIRUS!!! freak heck. I didn´t buy a new camera and a virus from the Internet entered my memory card so if I eliminate my virus then I lose all of my photos gahhh!!! I hate technology sometimes. So this is the 3rd time in less than 6 months that I have gotten a virus in my memory card. I asked the guy what to do and he told me the best thing is to try to get your pictures off and put them on a CD and then I need to buy like two more memory cards or something like so that when my memory cards get full I can just change them out but that´ll mean you will not be receiving more pictures from me for the rest of my mission until I get them on Cd's. Then through the cd´s I'll be able to send pictures but yeah that’s just the great thing about life. Otherwise this week was of great success, we completed the standards of lessons with member and other lessons and our goal for challenging people to baptism so it was pretty sweet. We are really seeing a lot of success here in President IbaƱez. We had one of our investigators in church and then we put him with date, is was super awesome. He is so prepared for baptism we know he is going to get baptized. Me and Elder Patton are good here together just working hard and hoping to keep seeing success in these last two weeks of his mission. Glad to hear that Sam is excited to go out on the mission, I know he´ll have an awesome experience just like his brother and all of us that are out serving the Lord. Hopefully he doesn´t get some disease problem like what happened to Tori. Glad to hear the weather is changing up there back home because that will mean for us here that the weather will start to get nice in fact I think my face got burnt a little bit today so I'll be dark for when I come home in the middle of winter ha-ha. Our other investigator Tamara didn´t come to church this week with her husband because they didn´t have any dry clothes so but they promised to come next week so will just keep going by there homes to prepare them to get and get them excited. But to answer Moms question, yes they're living together and not married and they have two kids so hopefully their eyes will open and see that its better to not live in sin and get married. We think with also the English thing we'll be able to teach English again this coming weekend on Friday again, that would be awesome. No I haven´t gotten my box just but I am waiting for it with anticipation!! I am sorry to hear that Heidi didn´t get into her PA program that really stinks. But I am sure what she´ll does now will be the right decision. Glad to hear all else is well with everyone and that the blessing of Ruby was a complete success.  Not much else to say just hoping for the best this coming week
because it really hasn´t gotten to a great start with problems with my camera and memory card AGAIN!!! just shoot me right now ha-ha love you all tons and miss ya more!!!

Elder Blotter - Oct 11

Dear Family,
I am well here in Puerto Montt just another great week here in the rain....QUANK!!! ha-ha but no its all good its normal here to have rain all the time. But this past week in the work has been good. We taught a lot of people and have found a ton of new people too that are super awesome and we are seeing a lot of progress in them!! the only problem with a couple of them is that some of them have hard schedules to work around but were going to keep working with them to see what happens. I am well here with everything just keeping the excitement up in the work and my companion just trunky as ever ha-ha no he´s working hard until the end just like I got to keep going. And to explain the Moroni card to Mom a little bit is the letter we get as missionaries when we only have 3 transfers left in the mission that tells us we need to start worrying about our trip home that we need to tell the office if we still have the same bishop and stake president and if their directions are correct and where I am going to fly to as my last destination so all that fun stuff and just giving us more excitement to keep working hard in these last 4 and a half months so to just make is short is just the letter we get that says HEY YOUR ALMOST DONE WITH YOUR MISSION HAVE A GOOD ONE ha-ha But yeah if bishops have changed or stake presidents and there directions have changed that would be great to know.  But I like the idea of mom’s, just put some money in my account so I can buy some trinkets here in when the time comes because I have a feeling I am going to finish here in Puerto Montt so if you guys want something also from Chile  put some money in my account so I can buy you something like the jacket I have that has the Lama symbols on it or a scarf or a Chile jersey or a shirt or something like that or what I have sent home like wooden furniture things so yea to ALL THE FAMILY if you want something just tell me and tell mom or dad to put money in my account so I can get it for you.   But nothing new more than our investigator that went to church 2 times in a row just came her 3rd time in a row!!!! wow she´s so awesome she´s progressing so much she’s reading the book of Mormon cover to cover its so awesome the only problem is that she needs to get married  but we’re working on that one so no worries there. OH I ALMOST FORGOT today for p day we went to volcan Osorno and saltos de petrohue again like last year I went there the place of waterfalls and what not and we went with the zone of Puerto Varas and I saw my old black companion Elder Camarena again!! it was crazy seeing him again I never thought I would see him again but he I Got the chance to see him.  Something cool I did this past week was I went to an elementary school with another elder, Elder Drake and we were invited to help a group of 6th graders with their English and it was a way sweet experience I put a picture in there of me in front of where me and the Elder were talking to the kids.  It was like really professional. And then I also put a picture of my companion and me at the waterfall place and of Elder Camarena and me again together so it was pretty sweet. But I love you all and miss you all a ton!! I hope all is well back home and hope that the blessing of the new niece went well sounded like a sweet experience.
Love, Elder Blotter
P.s to mom I think from my carta Moroni letter my release date is the
25th if that’s a Wednesday in the follow year  so yeah!!! LOVE YALLL!!

Elder Blotter - Oct 4

Dear Family,
I am found well here in Puerto Montt, just doing very very well. CONFERENCE WAS SWEET!!!  I love conference and it's sad that my last conference of the mission has passed...QUANK!! ha ha but no it was super awesome I loved all the talks but some of the talks that I remember from my notes at this moment was the one mom mentioned about how husbands can raise their daughters, the one about how we can become REAL learners, teachers, leaders, etc and Elder Hollands of the priesthood session. I really hope a lot of the young men went to that session and heard that talk because I hope that would´ve woken up a couple of young men that haven´t left on the mission yet that SHOULD  be out serving and how the young men should be preparing now and be on the Lord's "TEAM" and not on Satan's team.  Football analogy that he used ha ha but there were several others that I just loved especially also the talk of the "Its better to look up" that was very powerful also.  I can´t wait to get the Liahona to reread the talks.  We have heard the words of the Lord again for the second time this year. I hope you all were able to hear all the sessions of Conference for I know as they will bless my life they will truly bless yours. It was also an awesome experience to see a ton of the old members from the Ward of Libertad. I wanted to give a ton of them a hug but I couldn´t because I am still a missionary ha ha.  The rule of the mission, can´t hug people of the opposite sex. Just seeing their smiles once again and seeing converts and people that are now baptized also that I had been teaching and just seeing the change in so many members and investigators.  It's just an amazing experience that I am grateful to my Heavenly Father that he has given me this opportunity to see them once again. To see the Light of Christ filling each and everyone of them. Our investigator Tamara came to conference this week, AND SHE BROUGHT HER HUSBAND WHO´S BEEN LESS ACTIVE FOREVER!!!  SHES PROGRESSING!!!!  It's so awesome that she came and I hope she heard some of the very important talks they gave. Sadly she and her husband only stayed for the morning Sunday session because they had other things to do. But I know they felt the spirit there. We have  an appointment with them today so we will see the full extent of how they liked church Sunday morning even though it wasn´t morning for us, it was 1 in the afternoon ha ha But hey its OK.  I am well here other wise with my companion getting along very well and a blast also with the other two Elders of Presidente IbaƱez 2, Elder Drake and Elder Trejo. I don´t think I told you but I am living in a house with Four Elders again because apparently the house there is better and so we live four so its a lot of fun. Elder Drake is from Utah and Elder Trejo is from Mexico but not really because he lives in Tijuana which is near Baja California so it's practically the USA. But Elder Trejo is in his second transfer and Elder Drake almost has a year in the mission. Wow I remember when I had a year ha ha BEFORE A GET A SHOUT OUT TO BOE FOR HAVING A BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK WOOOO!!! YEA HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOE!!!! ha ha alright.   Sucks to hear the Aggies lost to BYU when they should´ve won those little stinkers ha ha.   Glad to hear Rugar is having a blast  hunting with his dad, that's super sweet!! Love the pic with Rugar with the bird. He doesn´t have any fear to touch dead animals now.   I remember back in the cabin in Idaho when dad brought back a fish and Rugar was scared to touch it, ha ha he´s getting older that's so amazing. Glad to hear Batavia is just smashing in Geneva wooo!!!! GO BULLDOGS!!! ha ha and were one of the best teams in the state in our class that's incredible.   I remember when we went to state like my sophomore year I think it was?? Sad to hear no news about the old cross team. I miss those days but its OK cause I am trying to keep running everyday here with my companion. I hope all is well with you guys back home. I also got my Moroni Letter which means I have only 4 and a half months left and that I have to send some info into the office if you guys are going to come pick me up in the airport etc.all that Jazz and my final destination and which should that be O'Hare or Midway which one is better for you guys to pick me up at the end??  Well that's all my news the photos are of me in front of a school i found in a sector the American school and a picture with my Moroni letter and me and some of the members from Libertad. I love you all and miss you all tons!!!!
