Elder Blotter......... Signing Off

Dear Family,
I honestly don´t know what to say more than that my last week that has gone by faster than a speeding bullet.  We have had a ton of success and I have finished my mission with miracles. We had people in church and the investigators that attended will be baptized; one in 2 months and the other in 2 weeks. I am grateful for the time I have been able to spend here in the Mission and a second chance here in Puerto Montt and a second time in Libertad.  The Lord sent me here for a reason and I found why he did. I found more of his children that were being prepared to receive the Fullness of the Gospel in this time and one of them will be baptized right after I leave. I am truly sad that I have to go.  As mom said, just as I am leaving this country it feels as though I am leaving home again. It doesn´t feel like I am going home not one bit. I am truly sad. Won´t lie, have already shed tears and I will probably be bawling my eyes out on the plane like a drama queen ha ha.  But they will be tears of joy because I feel that I have done all that I was supposed to do for these 2 years, serving the Lord with all my heart mind, might and strength. We had a successful last week destroying the standards of lessons with member and finding new people and just everything. I am pleased on how I am finishing the mission and I know the Lord is too that I didn´t go "Trunky" ha ha.  I stayed focused throughout my whole mission.  Because I know after I finish writing this letter like it happens every Monday, I leave and put on my tie and white shirt and everything and its not for nothing but I forget about you guys almost completely.  Its like a switch in my head that goes from "down time" to "Work time".  I forget about the world and myself and think of the people that I will be teaching and how I can help them and how the Lord will work through me.  I love that feeling and I will miss it so dearly. I'll have to wait until I am Mom and Dad's age around there to be able to get a part of that feeling back when I go with my wife on a mission.  I am grateful for you guys support that you have given me throughout these last 2 years of serving the Lord. The only thing I want to leave you with is my testimony that I know this church is true that this is the only true Church upon the earth where we can receive our salvation through baptism for someone who holds the authority of God.  I know that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet of God to restore the Gospel and Christs church upon the earth so that we could receive the fullness in our days and prepare ourselves for the second come of our Lord and savior. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God just as the bible is the word of God to where it is correctly translated. That the Book of Mormon is a guide to our lives that can help us change for the better and bring us more closer to God. I know these things are true because I have received a witness of these things through the Holy Ghost that testifies to me from the father. I know that Christ is my Savior and loves me and loves everyone of us the same and for that reason I know and testify that He died for our sins each and everyone of us. For the price He payed we can all repent and be forgiven so we can return to the presence of our Heavenly father not alone but with our families to live eternally forever and ever. That we can feel a happiness that will never end through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for my family and I am grateful for all the things that have happened in my life that has made me a better person and I will keep growing as a person, son of goodly parents, but also as a son of God. I love you all and I share my testimony and my feelings in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Elder Blotter - Jan 16 (Only 1 week left on his Mission)

Dear Family,
I am well this past week. Here in the sector we have had a TON of SUCCESS and MIRACLES!!!! it was great we had a lot more help from the members this past week in the work.  Along with that we had investigators in church and one of them for sure is going to get baptized after I leave. She is an amazing investigator. One of those investigators that you just know has been prepared for this moment to receive the missionaries and she´ll be baptized the 11th of Feb. and she´s so excited already and she´s only attended church one time! She already has friends in the church and she told us first time going to your church and I already love it! wow incredible, verdad? ha ha  We had a sick week with hitting the standard lessons with member and other lessons and a couple of other standards that we have here in the mission and I hope to hit them again this coming week and just finish the mission strong here and leave the sector in good hands of the next missionary that comes in. Its starting to sink in little by little that the time is over and I am really not liking it.  I know when I go out and work today I will forget all about it but like when there's down time at night time or in the morning when were studying and what not I just feel it and I hate it ha ha.  Don´t get me wrong I am excited to see you all when I get home but I just love the mission and I feel like its the only life I know and I don´t want to leave it or stop teaching the gospel. Sure I'll be able to do that all when I get home as a member but I am sure dad or Boe or Matt or Zack can testify its not the same anymore. The good thing is I am not trunky at all I am just trunky to like stay in the mission ha ha. Today was a good p day with sun and heat and we played soccer again and that was good. I bought a couple of recuerdos or memory gifts? I can´t think of the word right now ha ha I am too Latino. But yeah the whole time I was thinking what mom told me to do which was buy stuff that have meaning don´t just buy just because and I was thinking about that every time I looked at something. And the other thought was that came to my head can I get into the states with this?? ha ha  I don´t know what I get take home and what I can´t but maybe dad could help me out on that one for next Monday. Me and my companion are good here just working hard and just going crazy on teaching and just challenging people to baptism. We hope to see even more people in church next week and more people with date. I just gotta sprint to the end like my president says to do. OH YEAH I GOT MY PACKAGE!!! I knew that my package went to the wrong Zone ha ha for the problem that I was supposed to go to the Zone of La Union to Rio Bueno. They sent my package there because I guess the information that I got last minute transferred didn´t get to the office in time or that they forgot that I stayed in Puerto Montt because on the front of my package it says La Union so I knew it came from there.  Thank you Family for all your notes and candy and ties and just EVERYTHING!! My LAST package of the mission its incredible how everything comes to a last. Tomorrow is my last district meeting. And then from there on are my last days of full days of proselyting in the mission. Super weird. But all is well here in Puerto just keeping the excitement up and energy up keeping myself purely focused on the mission. Your letters in the box all touched me and I felt loved like I always do every time I receive letters and boxes from y'all =) I love you all very much and I will be sending out my LAST LETTER next Monday of the mission SUPER WEIRD!! Yeah Love y'all tons and miss you all more!!!

Elder Blotter - Jan 9 (Only 2 weeks left on his Mission)

Dear Family,
I am well here in Puerto Montt this past week. Me and my companion are doing well. NELSON GOT BAPTIZED!!! It was so cool to see! Elder Urrutia baptize him. I took pictures of the baptism but I'll show you the pictures when I get home. But all is good here in Chile. It was raining here today for p day in the morning but its stopped and its been a better day but we didn´t do anything here today just go to the mall to print pictures and eat tacos with a member here. He´s an awesome member he´s only got like a year and something as a member but a great guy. He´s like 24 and has a very strong testimony in the Gospel. But more than that we bought groceries and everything paid the bills.  The day's been pretty relaxed but its been good. In church was my last testimony meeting and I gave my testimony for the last time on a
Sunday here in Chile. I still don´t feel like the time as a missionary for me is finishing for me. I still feel like the 25th of January I will be going to another sector and I will continue being a missionary and teaching people but I am sure it´ll hit me when I get to the mission home and I am there and I am not doing contacts or going to peoples home. But I am just going to keep working with Elder Yagual like normal.  The week has been hard but we have had success. The members are still not leaving with us like they could but were getting them to work little by little. Were not going to see baptisms this transfer but I know were going to see baptisms next transfers here in Libertad. Me and Elder Yagual are doing well here and he is just full of energy and excitement. I am just sprinting to the end here and just giving it my all. Nothing really new here this week. Just been a hard week but a successful week here in the sector. We found a lot of new people this past week here in the sector that are really good and we
are praying for them and I know they´ll progress if we do our part and the members do there part also and obviously also if they do their part because we know if we try, the Lord will do his part because we are following his commandments and doing the right thing. Thanks for telling me Dad that I have another talk to prepare for, yeah!! ha ha but I am sure I'll be fine.  It's not a talk that's very hard. That's really crazy that Josh and Carlos are already back and that Josh is already heading back. But Carlo's is staying home until like April. He´ll see one of my friends there that got accepted to BYU Provo that from here of Puerto Montt. Remember the family that I did my phone call with of skype well their daughter Paula got accepted there and will be going there in April so she´s really excited and her family is also excited for her. And it´ll be weird to see her there in the States. But she´ll do fine there because she speaks and understands English very well.  She´ll be there from April to like September and I think she´ll continue there also and start to study there. But that's crazy to hear that Sayward and Matt will be moving away from Utah one day soon and they already know that but it´ll be a good experience for them. So crazy that this transfer is almost over and I really don´t want it to be but its all good. But I better finish this up because I think I am just blabbering on but I am sure more things will happen next week so I'll have more things to write about. I love you all tons and miss you all more!!!

Elder Blotter - Dec 31st

Dear Family,
Well it was a pleasure talking to you all and seeing your faces moving and what not but now back to work and let me tell ya its been an interesting 2 weeks of work. Very hard but that's just because of the holiday season. It was like this last year so I was expecting this.  Just about everyone that we contacted said in 2012 we can pass by because they are celebrating still with their families.  But at least they gave us their directions! ha ha and the doors we knocked everyone said "tengo gente lo siento no puedo atender hoy día" or what that means is I have guests I can´t talk today so it was like OK another day.  Will be then in a week ha ha but its all good. This past week with the mission work on finding people actually was better than last week so its really the great miracles of God working through us and we really found some new investigators that are way awesome that me and my companion think will progress a lot so its gonna be good.  I'll tell you now so I don´t forget. I GOT AMY'S PACKAGE SO THANK YOU AMY AND FAMILY. I still haven´t gotten your package mom sorry  But I am praying for it that it will get here soon and hasn´t gotten lost  Have you gone to the mail office to see what happened?? or did you go online and look up the box code?? But yeah I just hope it´ll get here in less than 3 weeks! ha ha.   No there was no baptism not till next week because the hermano didn´t come to church because he was sick and his wife Araseli wasn´t feeling good but that's OK because her baby boy was born this past Thursday!! I am going to go see them today and see the new baby.  It was so awesome to hear from Elder Urrutia and then talk to Hermana Araseli that it was born and now I think she´ll be able to be baptized before I head out so it´ll be way awesome!!  Everything went well, her husband Nelson told me and she is in the house now so yeah. But today for our pday we were going to play soccer against the Puerto Varas but it got canceled so we just played against one another here in Puerto Montt. Its sunny today and I put sun screen on Mom  I promise but I still got burnt a little bit on my face today but it's all good. At least I didn´t get as burnt as I could have. But I am going to miss Chile when i go and playing soccer.   I´m going to have to get involved in an indoor  club back home. OH YEAH!! Tell dad to not sweat it too much al be helping him when I get back so i can keep busy and paint the house and do whatever he needs me to do I can help and also with whatever Stake activity if he needs help I'll help him out until I get a job and what not. Hopefully I can go back to Jeff Ellis life guarding and see if i can get my license back and get my supervisor job back that would be super awesome so will see what happens. Or if that don´t work out if there is some brother in the ward that has a job or something that I can get into and work a little bit to start saving up money again for college and what not. Well that will be all happening AFTER my dentist and doctor appointments and what not ha ha!! But I am just going to to keep focusing myself here in the work here in Puerto Montt helping my investigators move themselves towards baptism!! I love you all and miss you all tons!!! From what I heard I don´t think al have pday until NEXT MONDAY so that would be the 9th of January so yeah just a heads up!
LOVE Y'ALL!!!
