Elder Blotter - Nov 22
Hola Familia,
Glad to hear you love the temple and the awesome news that Uncle Robert is now the new Bishop in his ward. He will be such a good Bishop. For some reason I thought he had already served as Bishop but I guess not ha-ha. I will not be celebrating thanksgiving here because it does not exist here but maybe we will buy a chicken to celebrate it anyways ha-ha. My p-day is going well. The p day of last week was at a place called Saltos Rio Petrohue. It is a tourist area and I actually forgot to tell you all that we talked to many people up there from a ton of different countries. Some people from Italy I talked to said they were studying in Santiago and some Israeli people that were visiting Chile also. We also talked to a man from Switzerland who was visiting Chile with his wife just for fun ha-ha. It was very funny for us to hear that but he really liked talking to us and asked many questions about the church and we responded and he was very interested so we invited him to listen to the missionaries when he goes home. And then lastly, we talked to a man from Germany. So just people from all parts of the world were up there and more people also I am sure. It was a really fun time last week I really want to go back there some day it is very beautiful place and they have a hotel up there also with a TON of things to do there so maybe one day.
This past week for me has been good. Sadly we did not have anyone at church for our sector which was somewhat sad but we hope to have all of our investigators in the church next week. It rained here a little bit which kind of stunk and kind of put our spirits down but we tried to get through it all and actually got some good contacts in the streets. We put a date of baptism with one of our older investigators that we have in the Registros and they accepted!! I hope and pray now that they will complete because we were preparing them for baptism yesterday of all that will happen and how they will feel. We also found a 65 yr old woman who loves to exercise and does karate so it was very funny to talk to her and teach her because she was very open and accepted our message and told us that we were her first missionaries that entered her home and can’t wait for our next visit so we left a good impression which is awesome!! We have had many small miracles happen during the week just showing us the lord is guiding us in the work. But I know we are just going to be the best missionaries in our last week in the transfer to try to help all of our investigators get to church.
We really hope to have a lot of success in this last week of the transfer. I have really enjoyed it and time and days have just flown by, it is unreal. I have enjoyed the time with Elder Ciquero and hope to have another transfer with him because I only have 2 transfers here and that is 3 months, not a lot of time in one area. I also love this ward, it is just full of many good people but if the lord sends me its ok I will live and move with the Lords work where he needs me.
What my companion and I are going to do today is hopefully make bread with Hermana Lindana our recent convert and then also teach her husband so I will send pictures next week.
I love it here in Chile. I love you and thank you for everything you do for me.

Elder Blotter - Nov 8 letter
Hola Family,
Hey mom glad to hear you felt better and that doctor Hampson put you on new medication I am sure it is really helping I will keep you in my prayers to feel better and to progress with your health. I am well and happy here in Puerto Montt. Yes our investigator Lindana did get baptized, it was so great and she was soo happy and we are so happy for her that she took this step in her life. Her husband and granddaughter were able to come to her baptism. Last night we went by their home to see how they were and how she felt. She says she feels so calm and with the spirit. Her husband was the big surprise to us. He said the closing prayer in our visit with them and in his prayer he said he wants to follow in the path of his wife in the future so it was like a huge whoa in our minds!! The baptism of his wife opened the door to him now and now he has a bigger desire to be baptized. Our goal now is to help our other investigators prepare and have a larger desire to be baptized.
Dad was correct that we did have a ton of rain this past week and it kind of stunk sometimes but its all good. We moved through it and found new people that we can teach. It has been a hard past week of finding new people to teach but the Lord has guided us to some of the people that he wants us to teach in this time who are ready for our message. Thank you for receiving my letter to Peter and I hope the kid gets it soon. My companion wants Snickers and I do to so if you could put that in there that would be great!! Hopefully I am with him one transfer more because I really enjoy teaching with Elder Ciquero he is a great missionary and a good example to me and I know if we are together another transfer we will learn so much more from each other. Thank you for everything that you do for me mom I hope to make you and dad very proud of me in this next week and I will be sure to keep you both in my prayers and the whole family. I love ya and miss ya tons!!

Hola Famila,
Happy late Halloween!!
Hey how are you all feeling?? How are the allergies?? I talked to Hermana Lovell, we had a conference this past Friday with President and she asked if I was all right and I said I have been sick for a while and she prescribed some things for me to go look for and give a try and see if it’ll clear up my sinuses because I think its just sinuses. Other wise I am well. My week this past week was good but a TON of rain everyday besides today which is a nice sunny day. It has just been pouring everyday in the morning and then about at 7 at night it stops or is slow to fall. But its just pure rain until today where it is a nice sunny day here with military boats docked again here in the bay. There are 2 and they are both huge!!
Our investigator just had her interview on Friday that will be baptized this Saturday and confirmed this Sunday. It is great, we are all really excited for her and she is really content and happy for her decision. She came to stake conference where Elder Corbrage spoke to Puerto Montt and then also her husband came to church, it was sooo awesome!!! We are trying to work with him now and use his wife as our member missionary because she is just amazing!! She wants to leave with us and visit investigators and we did not even ask her to leave with us and she is not even a member yet. It is insanely awesome!! She will stay faithful in the church the rest of her life I know.
We are trying to find new investigators but its just killing us we cannot find many. We are trying our best here but will just keep moving forward. At the end of the week we had a capacitación with President Lovell where I guess in all the mission work throughout the world they are adding 8 new principles that we as missionaries will focus more on in the work and how we can improve these attributes to have more success down here in Chile. It is very interesting and we have it like every cambio or two cambios,
There is not much else that is new here just moving along in the work of the Lord trying to be the best missionary I can be for the Lord and do everything possible to be better. Halloween down here is celebrated like in the states I believe because I saw ghosts and witches and all sorts out last night trick o treating, so it is pretty similar to the states. Today is like a free day like a festival for the Chileans but I do not know what it would be.

Elder Blotter - Oct 24
Hola Famila,
Hey sorry for last week but we were just rushed with time when we got back from the volcano to finish writing but I am well this week except that I have been sick for about 5 days and can’t get rid of it. I have take Sudafed and it has done nothing for me and also a powder called Tapsin with water and it still has not shaken it. I think I also have an ear infection or something because I cannot hear very well out of my left ear. It feels clogged with something and I have a nasty cough and a runny nose so I am thinking about calling Sister Lovell this week or today to see if there is something that she could give me or if I should go to the doctor. So will see what happens. My past week with my new companion has been great. His name is Elder Ciquero from Peru from Tacna which is about a 45 min drive from Arica where that mine collapsed. So it is like on the border where he lives. He has family from Japan, Italy, and Chile so he is just all over the place. He a tall guy, like 6-2. He a very humble Elder and I know I will learn a lot from him. He has 14 months in the mission so he is not so new in the mission. We had to change the date on our investigator Lindana in order for President Lovell to give her interview but she is still really excited for her baptism date and everything so we are just passing by every couple of days to see how she is doing and how her reading is going. She has attended church every single Sunday and it is amazing how much she loves the church. I know she will be just a great member and the Lord has so much love for her. We are working on finding other investigators that want to progress in the steps back to our Heavenly Father. I am striving to be a better missionary everyday and just keep at it and never lose the excitement of the mission and of the work of the Lord. Thank you for all you do for me I love ya and miss ya tons!!
