¡Hola familia!
I am sorry to hear some of you are not feeling well and in tiptop shape kind of sounds like me. I have been sick for the past week with a nasty cough that I cannot get rid of. I am doing my best to keep up the vitamin C in my body and eating a lot of fruit and it seems to be helping. Glad to hear the campout was a success and the boys loved it but sad that none of the boys from the Geneva ward showed up. Who are the boys now in Varsity anyways?? I have no Idea who is there anymore ha-ha.
I loved the conference with President Lovell I learned so much in other ways on how to invite people better to church and the large reason on why we go to church and show that to people and then they will have a better understanding on why and then they’ll want to go to church in the end. President showed a clip of a district in San Diego and their difficulties but it was in English so I translated for my companion. I translated pretty well I think because my companion understood everything I said so my Spanish is getting better. I am really excited for this weekend for Conference!! I feel like its Christmas, I just learn so much from Conference now for personal revelation and to know what the lord wants for me to learn and then something that could help my investigators in this moment because we have found many this past week. Now the goal is to just have them progressing and going to church and with faith and obedience we can do it all. The weather here is still pretty cold not way way warm but this past week has been warm and I hope to have a really warm week this coming week. I also cut my own hair with a clipper a missionary has here in Puerto Montt and it is really short now. I haven’t had it this short in a very long time since the beginning of my mission there in Valdivia if you remember how short it was its about that right now and everyone at church says I look like a marine and I did a good job so yeah sweet. I guess I will be cutting my own hair when I can ha-ha. But thanks for the number dad for my ATM I am going to try.
I was reading today in the Bible in 1 Samuel 3 The story of the prophet Samuel and that the lord comes to him 3 times before he knows it is the voice of the lord. I learned that sometimes Samuel is us and we sometimes do not listen to the prompting of the Lord OR the Holy Ghost trying to guide us and help us down the right path. Sometimes we need to listen really hard and always be doing what is right in the eyes of God. If we do this we can say "Habla, que tu siervo escucha" I love the scriptures and the great blessings we receive from them and how we can apply them so much in our lives. We just have to read. Thank you dad for all of your support in me and all the family. I love you and miss ya tons!

Elder Blotter Letter - 9/20
Hola Familia!!
Not much new news here on my side just a really long weekend of being in our house if we did not have set appointments to go to which was not too many. If we did have some a lot of them fell through so it was not much of a weekend of teaching but it was an interesting weekend with many drunks in the streets asking for money and trying to rob people. Our ward had an activity that we could go to on Friday if our investigators were there and we would stay there until they started to dance and what not. We could eat and see the games and watch people dance the cueca which is the national dance of Chile so it was very interesting and very awesome. Then Sunday was ward conference and our bishop spoke upon a bit of Chile history and then tied into how we have the gospel here in Chile because of independence rights of religion so it was very awesome. Then our Stake president spoke upon on how we need to always improve on inviting people to church and sharing the gospel with everyone we know. But no I don’t really have anything new since Thursday except pictures from today on some of the beach line here in Puerto Montt and me with a famous statue in Puerto Montt of a couple looking out to the sea but I don’t know what it resembles here but all missionaries have it and then I will send pictures to dad of Friday and Saturday. We ate SOOO much MEAT Chicken, Beef, Sausage, as much as you wanted!!! All four of us missionaries ate at one persons home for 18th of September independence day which was a TON of FOOD and then Sunday after sacrament they invited us back if we had no where to eat!!! It was ridiculous but they are so good to the missionaries here in this ward they just love em I feel like I am back in our ward with the families fighting to have dinner or here lunch with the missionaries its actually kind of funny ha-ha but that’s all my news for this week really until next Monday. I love you all and miss y’all tons!!!

Elder Blotter Sept 16th - He's been transfered to Puerto Montt
Hola Familia!!
I HAVE MOVED AREAS!!!
I am now in Puerto Montt which is about 4 hours from where I was and it is south and right next to the sea. I love it here, it is very beautiful. I am with my first Latin companion of the mission named Elder Jaita from Bolivia and for the first time I beat my companion in height ha-ha!! The Puerto Montt Zone is the largest in the mission with like 22 missionaries. I live with 4 missionaries because my sector is actually 2! Libertad 1 and 2 we are L2 and the other missionaries are 1. We have the hilliest sector in Puerto Montt and the highest in altitude here so it is just up and down all day!! It is beautiful, we have a great view of the sea because Puerto Montt has a bay area where many HUGE ships come in and dock and drop off goods. Our house is big and our mamita is a nice woman and the members are great here, very faithful and really want to work hard with the missionaries. We are preparing a couple of people for baptism and we hope to find more that want to progress. I am writing on a Thursday because this weekend is the independence day of Chile so we are not allowed to go tracting and do normal mission work. Yo estoy chato de eso!! If we do not have set appointments, we have to be in our houses because it will be dangerous all these days outside. The weather is the same as it was in Valdivia...RAINING!!! Ha-ha but its OK. I am used to the rain and it rains everyday here. They say that there is only like a month of summer here and then the rain comes back. I am seeing a lot of old missionaries from my last zone that left for here. It is nice to see friendly faces and some new faces. I am running every morning with my companion because he likes to run so it will help me get back into the groove and back up to speed a little with running maybe for the university when I get home because we run hills every day! Full speed! I miss my old sector in Valdivia but I like it here and I know I am here because the lord needs me here for a reason and I am already seeing many of the reasons with some people that we are finding. I hope to do good work here. Funny thing, I heard from the Hermanas that we’re going to be doing the musical here in Puerto Montt too so there will be more pictures with that. I am excited for it because it was really fun. Puerto Montt is the largest zone in the mission and has HUGE wards!! My ward this past week had over a hundred people in the sacrament so it was crazy to see. It is amazing to see so many faithful members but then again there are still so many less actives here that we need to activate and help them come back to the church. The people here, I do not really see a difference in them, still as tough as the people in Valdivia, all still in a rush to go everywhere. But its OK, maybe there is a reason why the Lord did that to me ha-ha. But I love it here and we're going to have a special conference with president this next Tuesday so it should be really interesting so yeah I really don’t know what to say. IT was sad to see my old sector go but I am content here because it is somewhere new and I know I am here for a reason that there are people that need my message. But it is all good. I will also pray for Brittany for the job and for everyone at home like I always do. I love you all and miss you tons!!!
